TecAce shows off .NET app and Bixby capsules at SDC19

05 November 2019

This year’s Samsung Developer Conference was held at the Convention Center at San Jose, CA. There were many exciting announcements in regards to Samsung’s partnerships and expansion with Bixby development.

TecAce Software was featured as a Tizen Partner and showcased their applications on Samsung wearables. TecAce’s centerpiece this year was the Ring Doorbell Viewer app, which was developed in .NET. This popular standalone app, which has about 9,000 downloads in the Galaxy Store, allows users to connect their Ring account and view their video history straight from the watch. Attendees were able to obtain the app for free when they visited the booth and provided an email address.

The other application that was demonstrated was their AI Communicator platform. The audience was shown how AI Communicator made it seamless to send a message from a predefined list, or a custom message, from one smartwatch to another. The platform also used the Samsung wearable’s sensor data to collect user’s health data and view within a web dashboard.

A supplement to AI Communicator was a Bixby capsule that demonstrated how Bixby can use the health data to provide an overall health status of a person. This can be useful for scenarios when taking care of someone with some health concerns. Voice Analytics is another Bixby capsule TecAce brought to the booth. Voice Analytics allowed users to connect their Google Analytics account and quickly view their projects’ analytics data without having to fumble through the web browser.

It was a strong showcase for TecAce demonstrating that they are actively working on the newest development. Samsung’s announcement of increase in Tizen platforms and Bixby, supports the direction TecAce has taken in developing more for Bixby and being the experts in Tizen app development.
